Formal Definition
Factors (most commonly maturational, so evolving over age or weight) of physiological functions that will affect neonatal medicine disposition and (side)effects following ingestion of human milk potentially containing medicines or metabolites. For disposition, this includes factors related to neonatal ADME, but also milk intake (volume, pattern); For the (side)effects, this relates to developmental stages and developmental toxicology
